Dr Jonny Walker (Janatha Withanachchi)

Dr Janatha (Jonny) Withanachchi was born in Alberta, Canada to a poor immigrant family from Sri Lanka. He immigrated to the United States to pursue his post-secondary education in dentistry as well as to chase the American Dream.

He did the opposite of most dentists. He didn’t buy a practice… Instead, he started investing his savings in real estate soon after graduating.

He bought his first investment in 2009 and he has been investing in various commercial real estate sectors over the last 14 years. His investment thesis evolved to specializing in Multifamily Real Estate (MFRE), as this asset class brings the highest levels of return on a risk mitigated basis. Realizing the true path to FREEDOM was by developing passive streams of income, he felt compelled to share what he learned with his fellow doctors. This inspired him to found an investment firm, and Walk of Wealth (WoW) was born in 2019.

Since then, WoW has gone on to help others invest across 870 units of multifamily real estate ($120 MM) in growing markets with high demand for ever scarce ‘workforce’ housing. He has helped over a hundred doctors develop truly passive streams of income and build strategies to build abundant wealth.

Mike & Megan Downey

Mike has deep agricultural roots, and like many others, grew up on a family farm but the farm wouldn’t support him joining full time. Dirt “runs through his veins” and he has a passion for family farms and farmland. Truth be told, he and his wife Megan began investing in commercial real estate back in the late 2000’s, due to its easier barrier of entry and positive cash flow. This passive income has afforded them several opportunities:

It gave Mike the courage to leave a successful career in Ag to be co-owner of Next Gen Ag, which helps family farms with their estate and legacy planning – a passion of Mike’s.  Mike and his wife Megan are also the founders of Farm Raised Capital, a platform for the Ag community to invest together in commercial properties previously only available to high-net-worth individuals. They also self-direct their IRA’s into real estate, and recently reached a goal in purchasing their first farm.
